CBAM Reporting
We manage your embedded emissions calculation and reporting under the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) for your exports to the European Union.
Carbon is now a cost item in exports to the EU
CBAM aims to put a price on the emissions generated during the production of goods imported into the EU in certain sectors. This requires Turkish exporters of in-scope products to calculate the embedded emissions of their products accurately and share them with their buyers in the EU. From scope analysis to calculation, and from data sharing to verification readiness, we run the process together with you.
How we work, step by step
Scope analysis
We determine whether your products fall within the scope of CBAM.
Safeguard your exports
Accurate, timely CBAM data protects your relationships with your EU buyers and helps you manage potential additional costs.
- Competitiveness in the EU market
- Fast response to buyer requests
- Predictable emissions costs
- Identification of reduction opportunities
Frequently asked questions
The mechanism started with carbon-intensive sectors such as iron and steel, aluminium, cement, fertilisers, electricity and hydrogen. We check together, using customs tariff codes, whether your products are in scope.
The declaration obligation in the EU lies with the importer; however, as the producer, you need to provide the embedded emissions data.
Default values can often mean a higher cost than your actual emissions would; a calculation based on actual data is usually more advantageous.
Partly. CBAM requires a specific calculation method at product and installation level; your existing inventory is a good starting point.
